Answers: As we all know synthetic grease of any kind is far superior to everyday oils. The grease itself will not break down anywhere as fast as standard motor grease. It does not coke like standard oil and does not sludge as much either. BUT: in attendance are three things that kill engines. 1. Cold start up (synthetic works better cold than standard oils) 2. Blow by departed the rings contaminate the oil, and that contamination KILLS ENGINES. The other big assassin of engines is actually corrosion. That will annihilate the engine no matter what grease u use. I attribute my 1986 Omni GLHS turbo running the original turbo next to 150,000 (drive like I stole it) miles on it to synthetic grease.

Just to prove a point I have a 91 Olds royal running synthetic, and my father have a 1988 98 regency that he runs the cheapest motor oil that he can find. They both enjoy 3800 engines in them, I hold 315,000 on my original engine and enjoy change the trimming secure twice, He has 345,00 and own changed the trimming chain 5 times and replaced 2 grease pumps. That is it; we have don nought else inside the motor. I change the grease every 3-4 thousand miles (synthetic) and he changes his every 5-7 thousand miles (with crap).
The 1988 Regency, have a nice little lop at idle, and the compression is adjectives over the place, but still stomps down 27mpg on the highway (a) 75 mph. Mine runs like foreign and has like peas in a pod gas mileage. We both keep logs on what we spend on our cars and I must voice, with the difference within what I have spent on synthetic I could hold purchased a hole new engine have the dealer through it within, and still have spent smaller amount than I did on the oil. (When I started synthetic grease was give or take a few 5$ a quart)
I attribute the actual stunning longevity to both engines to very long commute to work and lots drives of around 500 miles or more, Not the âFâ ing oil.
CHANGE THE OIL ( ANY KIND) AT 3,000-5000 AND YOU WONT HAVE ANY PROBLEMO'S.
