Valve Cover Paint?

I have a 90 pontiac 6000LE and I just rebuild the engine, I degreased a couple parts on it that really were gunked up and I was considering drawing my valve covers since they are extremely faded in spots and mostly looks like crap.. These are aluminum valve covers and I hear that regular touch up paint would work because its aluminum and wont generate as much heat as the steel covers. That I dont need the large temp paint since they are aluminum. Can someone shed some light on this for me.. Thanks alot
