Vehicle hood paint employment?

I have a 2003 Ford Mustang near a hood that needs to be repainted due to rock chipping. I will be checking out local paint shops shortly to take estimates, but I was wondering how much a great paint employment normally runs. What's too low and what's too elevated? I am willing to remuneration whatever it take to get it done right, but I don't want to procure ripped off any. Also, do you have any suggestions on what types of paints/methods are best or what to look for surrounded by a good paint shop? Thanks!

Is at hand a trick to Mazda...

Answers:    Depending on the overall condition of your hood and where on earth the rock chips are, you may not need your undamaged hood repainted. A shop may be able to fix the rock chips and simply re-spray the entire hood beside clear coat. You should be able to take this done for under $1000.00 undemanding, and that is for a terrifically good livelihood. Pick a body shop you like or ask individuals you know for a referral, then move about to the shop and ask to see some of their work so you know what it looks like. A well-mannered shop should have no problem fitting the color on your hood.
