Wats the best instrument to lower my 98 honda civic?

im wanting to lower my car about an inch inch and a partly somewhere around there wat would i need to buy newly springs?in how much does a shop usually charge to put them on?

You will want to put Koni or similar adjustable ring shocks and springs. This will allow you to lower it as much as you want and if you adjustment up your wheels, you can reposition them without buying anything else.

so if i was you, i would jump around to different shops and ask them what you would need to buy in direct to lower it and what the price of that item would be. and then ask how much would it cost for them to put it on. do that at several places.

and then after you find out what you stipulation to buy, you sometimes can go somewhere else and get like item for a cheaper price (internet) and maybe just foot for them to put it on..

idk.. just a suggestion if you want the cheapest price for putting whatever you want on your car.
well contained by my opinion i would suggest adjustable struts or coil springs and of course a drop down tools..i think u will be better off taking it to an specialist because if u be a do it ure self u would probably have known that already

I'm not sure how low it is already, but you hold to be careful because too low and anything in the road is unpreventable. Also, I think they're are laws on how glorious (or in your case low) a vehicle can be.

Answers:    there are vitally 3 ways of doing this... which vary in level of performance

1. Cutting springs... virtually free if you do the labour youself, but offer a great DECREASE in performance and is iffy.

2. lowering springs... relatively cheap (few hundred $$$) mod where the factory springs are replaced by units that are stiffer than the factory springs and sit lower during typical use

3. Fully adjustable suspension (coilovers) which are replacement for the entire factory suspension unit (the whole strut) and present complete customisation of ride height, dampening, castor, camber toe in and toe out etc. much more expensive than springs but submission a huge performance increase.

So i guess the real sound out is do you want looks or performance? and how much would you want to spend?

also if it's only looks your interedted contained by and are not worried about the money then airbag suspension is another road to go about this
