Well do the math, belt broke and antifreeze went everywhere. Sounds resembling the water pump when out.The water pump is drive sour the belt, That then would cause your Jeep to over roast, and the power steering is ran off one and the same belt along with the alternator.

When the belt breaks your power steering no longer works, your waterpump and fan stop turning to circulate the coolant and cool the coolant. If you replace the belt and refill the coolant. Then start the saloon and hopefully everything should be ok if nothing else got worn out when it happened unibelt
