What's wrong next to my saloon?

I drive a 98 mercury mystique and cuts off sometimes when i hit my brakes or when im at a light for a long time. It also chokes a great deal when im at lights or when i leave the car running while i continue for something. It usually drives fine, it just acts up when i hit my breaks. Do you own any ideas what wrong with my vehicle? Its been doing this for a long time now.

Hot sea on a sports car windscreen?

You need a tune up at a good shop---no vehicle runs perfect forever--a stalling car is dangerous--so go and get a service done right away--all cars need service periodically. The cost of a service is depending on what needs to be done. eventually it will not run at all--so purloin care of it.you can't do it yourself. The 98s need a computer scan of adjectives sensors and the filters and stuff need to be replaced. Good luck--this is adjectives normal.
Hi,
There are a few things that can be wrong.
A. Your engine is not getting enough oxygen. If your car's tailpipe is spitting out murky fumes, then this is most likely the problem. For a combustion engine to work, you call for fuel(gasoline)+(Oxygen), and an ignition source(spark plugs).

B. Your engine isn't getting enough gas at idle. Meaning, your gas cistern is not pumping enough gas into the engine. Causes could be a partially clogged fuel smudge, or a partially clogged valve surrounded by the combustion chamber. Sometimes on older cars, you have to use a greater octane level gas but first, try using some solvents they sell at auto constituent stores that "clean the gas tank, fuel strip, and engine."

There are a few other possible problems but these are the usual causes. Hope I helped and thankfulness for asking a great question!
The "REAL" problem with your motor is that it was designed and built by the Ford Motor Co. It's 10 years old in a minute and it's getting tired! Time to start looking for a new horse.

Answers:    It can be different things, such as inadequate fuel or idled down too low. It sounds close to you are having these problems when you let rotten the gas, not when you apply the brake. The first thing I would do is something cheap, I would buy a thing of injector cleaner from an auto parts place and follow those instructions. It could also be a problem near the spark plugs or the spark plug wires if they have never been changed. The best piece it to try and find a mechanic that you trust and let him/her check it out. Hope this helps.

Sounds like it needs a suitable tune-up. Spark Plugs, spark plug wires. You might have a coil fouling up too. Change air filter and fuel filter. Start from here. What recent work have you had done to it?
