Answers: Try this, next time it wont start, depart the hood and locate the fuel shut off solenoid. You may want to find it earlier hand. It's located on the upper flipside part of the injection pump and is a vertically mounted silver cylinder beside a rubber bellows on the bottom of it. With the key within the run position, lift up on the plunger sector of the solenoid. If it moves, try starting the engine. DO NOT turn the key stale before trying to start. If the engine immediately starts, the problem is with the solenoid and it wants replacing. There is an outside chance that the shutdown solenoid relay is unpromising, but usually it's the solenoid itself>
