I beleive it's also called destruction rattle and have something to do with grease
I killed my later car by this method and tonight my strange car have started rattling but in that is still oil present, in the order of 1/4 of the dipstick,

Answers: It could be caused by overheating, really desperate fuel, wrong timing, engine running lean, plugged fuel injectors, plugged fuel filter / pump, excess carbon deposits in the combustion chamber or wrong spark plugs (wrong temp). Or simply fruitless driving habits.
