I have a 2005 mazda 6. Went to get an grease change(2 wks ago), did not notice it was leak til this weekend since my car felt werid. I checke d the grease and it was out! Went back to duplicate place and they put anew gasket in. Is it their responsibility to check for leaks?
I hang on to telling people you acquire what you pay for, at least at a trader you get important updates for the vehicle, annals to help when it comes to warranty work,etc.
I would never go to a mechanic on Saturday for a lube and grease, wheel alignments, or anything for that matter. Any mechanic specifically good gets their weekends sour and the trainees get the shty hours.
Write a certified letter stating your armour and hold on to your reciepts for the attorney.

As for the the leak. It depends on where it be leaking from, but he shop is not responsible for reporting leaks. If it be leaking from the the fuel filter or oil drain plug, consequently it's their fault, and I would consider confronting them and possibly even making them rebuild your engine.
Honestly, it messes up alot of things. I know because i did it once and then almost messed up my camaro b/c of not shifting it frequently. On my first car, the engine just made a horrible rough nouns and pretty much seized up and wouldn't start again. Now on my camaro (98) I had to tare into the crankshaft and replace it along with the lifters and adjectives nine yards, very spendy $$$$$ and time consuming, especially when you tolerate someone else other than a mechanic do it. I wouldnt suggest it. I ended up spending over 1500. contained by just parts and found out once it was adjectives done, it wasn't done right! So i had to buy a used engine, (1000) and have a mechanic put it contained by, (400). Thank God i had just get my tax return other wise i would be taking a bus. But becareful near used engines, its been about 6mo immediately and I think one of the lifters is bad on this one. Answers: If you run an engine completely out of grease, yes, you will damage your engine. The first things to go will be the bearing. Once a bearing loses lubricant, it will seal around the crank and at least possible, score the journals. At worse, it will appropriate the block. If it's neglect on the shop, they are responsible for it.

It won't be the first time a briskly lube joint has have to buy a new motor! They even have places that own the boss check the drain plug and put a dab of paint on it and the oil tub. There's not much you can do about the car immediately. Just make sure you pay attention to how it runs and keep hold of the oil fresh.
