What is better? Platinum or Iridium plugs?

If your car is un modified consequently watever plugs the factory uses is the best.

I use BOSCH platinum "just the basic ones".

Answers: I am personally running copper plugs, cheaper and copper is more thermally and electrically conductive. To answer your question out of platinum and iridium, iridium is better. Iridium is more expensive, but melt at a higher temperature and does not oxidize.

for you specific vehicle or within general?
1.iridium plug are oem in some newer vehicle,they also cost alot more from 15.00 to 18.00 a plug.(new vehicles dont require tune ups for 100k miles).
but no matter what plug you choose if your engine is worn or have other problem you may just be throwing your money away due to prematurely worn or fouled spark plugs.

For the average auto specifically unmodified or not used in some sort of competition the manufacturer suggested plugs should do just fine.see your owners manual
