This morning on my way to work, I put my vehicle in second gear to turn right onto the freeway on ramp, and the steering helm locked up sort of, almost like the power steering be turned off. I have to really tug on it to get it to turn. I of late bought my car close to two months ago and have also have a couple times where it take a couple tries to turn it on. Is there something wrong next to my new motor??
Answers: if your power steering gets power from the belt, than you will lose some power if your rpm's are greatly low. thats what it sounds like if this happen while accelerating and turning the joystick excessively at low speeds. if thats the case, its not really a irregularity.
my suburban would do that while i would try and accelerate and turn at outstandingly low speeds.
