I have a 2005 cobalt ss supercharged and im gona shift full synthetic but had a few question. I've decided to dance with amsoil over redline, mobile 1 and royal purple. My owners brochure says that it requires 5w-30 grease. Does that mean that i should obtain 5w30 fully synthetic amsoil or do i need a different position of oil since im going full synthetic?
Answers: The 5w-30 is a short time ago the minimum recommended grade that will provide your engine the right protection. In other words, you can use 10w-40 or better grade of synthetic grease (or mineral-based motor oil) and it will give you a better protection and viscosity.
