What's wrong next to my 1988 turbo Volvo? =(?

I know there is no course anybody could tell me what's wrong beside my car over the web, but I need some suggestions . (I would freshly bring it to a mechanic but I'm short on money and the nearest mechanic is an hour drive away....since my car is broken I can't lift it)

What happened to my vehicle:
- I woke up one morning, and discovered that my keys be turned all the approach in my ignition, and the motor was limp.
- I thought the battery be dead and have my dad jump the coup¨¦. He claims it worked for a while, but once the gas got circulated it died.
- I tried jump it again. Didn't work, but made noises resembling it was going to try to start up.
- My dad say it looks like perchance my ignition coil isn't firing right. I'm thinking maybe my freestyle is just shot or somebody put something contained by my gas tank.

Additional details: Its especially cold right now (battery?), Regularly my sports car stalls and dies if I don't take past its sell-by date fast satisfactory (its an automatic though), I just installed a brand contemporary CD player (fuses?)

1987 Golf GL?

Answers:    If your key were within the start position, something electrical could have be burned/gone bad.
You probably hold a spark timing module. I think I would check that.
One cause why is that when you are trying to start your car, 12 volts are used. After it starts, it switches to 6 volts.
This increases the spark at start up. And if your ignition be in the start position, it could hold burned the circuitry in your module. If it is desperate, I would also think roughly speaking replacing the ignition switch as it should not be able to stay surrounded by the start position.
Or it could be as your dad said and your coil could be bad.
One piece you could do is have your dad check the timing. It's other possible that your timing belt might have jump.
A couple of other possibilities, your fuel injectors could be clogged and need cleaning or your fuel filter could call for replacing.

What should I do? My son back...

If you are lucky it's just the freestyle. Have someone take it out for you and pilfer it to auto zone or something and have it checked.
