When I stir to start my vehicle after it have be sitting for awhile, it make a slight drumbeat crack.?

I HAVE AN GMC OLD. CUTLASS SUPREME '97'. IT RIDES GREAT! THERE IS ONLY ONE PROBLEM, IT MAKES A SLIFGT TAPPING NOISE WHEN I FIRST START IT UP. I LET THE CAR WARM UP AND IT EVENTUALLY STOPS! THE PERFORMANCE IS GOOD. THE ENGINE DOES NOT KNOCK BUT IT SLIGHTLY TAPS.

Where can I buy blue windscreen wiper...

Answers:    This is normally cause by noisy lifters. Lifters are small hydralic cylinders that ride against the camshaft lobes and push the stopcock open, usually through a push rod. They lift up the extra space that occurs as the engine heat up and over the life of the engine as the rods wear.

It can give somebody a lift a minute for the lifters to fill, and it is everyday for operation to be noisy while they pack up with grease. Sometimes they can be clogged or damaged, surrounded by which case they verbs to tap. Also, running the engine while low on grease will often result within noisy lifters, as nouns (foam) in the grease prevents them from completely filling.

If it go away after a minute or so, it is normal. Check your grease level freshly to be on the safe side.
