I have a 2003 Subaru Forester. I'm fairly fresh to owning a vehicle and I can't find ANYWHERE on-line when I need to have my vehicle contained by for regularly scheduled maintence. Aside from having my grease changed every 3,000 miles I haven't a clue when I need to have it completely checked out. I want my coup¨¦ to last so if someone could give me mileage times and what wants to be done at each time that would be great.
I have 79,000 miles on my motor.
Any shop you tramp into will be happy to print a free factory schedule maint report for your saloon. I'd go for the 90k service and expect to pay around a august to have it all done.
The maintaince schedule is usually somewhere in the owners instruction book. If you got your oil and filter change every 3000 your doing the most important part of keeping your vehicle running. I think sparkplugs and trans fluid gets changed every 50000 miles The guy above is rite. And tranmission filter need to be changed every 100,000 mi. So you should be getting that serviced in the subsequent 2500+ miles.
most cars have service intervals as follows
3000 mile oil metamorphosis
6000 mile tire rotation
15000 for tire balance
30000 for transmission ,brake fluid , power steering fluid
timing belts are at 90000 timing chains are with the sole purpose as needed
contact your local subaru dealer and ask they will help you out alot

The factory-recommended continuation schedule will either be contained by the owner's manual or in a separate wasted booklet attending the owner's manual. Do you no longer have the owner's encyclopaedia?
Dealers and shops will recommend the "severe" schedule, and probably additional services not within the factory schedule, but I'd take this beside a grain of salt. The factory preservation schedule is your friend : )
For most drivers, the oil doesn't stipulation to be changed every 3,000 miles. That's a rule that originated decades ago, when both oil and engines be of a lower quality than they are today. For most cars, the recommended interval is around 7,500 miles, and some are as long as 12,000 miles.
Personally, I aim for 5,000 in my Mazda to be on the undisruptive side, but went 7,000 most recently.
