I have a 1989 Lincoln Mark VII and I'm trying to change the rotors and pad on the rear brakes. I have broken my simply pair of clamps trying to compress the cylinder in the caliper, so my subsequent course of action is to just disconnect the article and use a vice to compress it. The only problem is that I noticed that here are two brake lines feeding into it and I'm not sure why.
you may need a special caliper compressor that actually compresses while rotating the piston spinal column in,you may be able to rent it at auto zone or kragens.
Answers: did u check to see if the caliper piston is the screw down type they make a special tool for that I've made that mistake previously
