Why did this occur?

I went out this morning to start my car beforehand work to warm it up and it took about two tries but it started but no more than 10 second later it died. I figured ok, it started once, it will start again, but it wouldn't even turn over. Did I drain the liquid from my battery? I had it plugged surrounded by for 13 hours. I live in northern minnesota btw, and it got to 50 below nothing with the wind chill.

Can someone please back me?

If you havn't been putting an gas antifreeze in your gas container when you fill it with gas, it may hold had some water collected contained by the fuel system and when it got that cold it froze in the column so no more fule could get to the engine. I live in Alaska so explicitly nothing new to me. If here is a way you can warm up the car( similar to push it into a garage, or tarp it over and put a good source of heat to it, it may reheat up enough to start, or just put the gasline antifreeze contained by it now, and if it has a carb pour for a while down into the carb, if it has injectors just put it surrounded by the tank, it might start, the key will be heat it up to get the ice out of the flash, either that or I am way past its sell-by date.

I have had exactly alike problem. I had driven to a place, turned off the motor, and when I went back to start it up at hand was nothing... comatose.

Turns out a battery cable had worked loose and together beside vibration and dirt on the terminals it be just enough to hold it from starting or even turning over.

Answers:    The switch to this question is "50 below zero" . I'm guessing either the grease got so thick from the heat being so low and/or the battery a short time ago wasn't up to starting it in these temps. I'd make sure the ultimate oil change be 5w30 oil, the coolant was the proper mix of antifreeze to sea, and the battery tests well brought-up after a recharge.
