Answers: going back to high academy chemistry,,, your battery works by the chemical reaction of the materials used inside the battery-operated and the acid used.. the materials will start breaking down after a period of time and will not create electric any more when this happen it's time to replace the battery good luck

a battery sitting loses one percent of it's charge per sunshine just from sitting. Basically, electrons flow from one side to the other turning your acid into sea.
