94 Ford Escort GT 1.8L 16V DOHC.
Engine will run great but stalls after driving about 1-2 miles. Not at low RPM close to many others.
Will turn over right after a stall but won't start. Several minutes following it'll start again. Definitely heat related but what could it be?
Also stalls when the AC is turned on. You can rev the engine lofty then turn AC on and it stalls. That sounds electrical?
Answers: On Fords its usually the module on the side of the distributor that heat up ad shuts the vehicle down. Get some dielectric grease from a parts store and remove the module and place it on the back. That should nick care of it.
check your coolant build sure its still good on some cars the comp will shut down the engine if it think its gonna overheat, also check your thermostat make sure its still functional. the a/c problem is unequivocally an electrical issue though
