It starts up fine but then after I drive a couple blocks it dies and the battery fluffy comes on. I then have to put it within park and start it up again. Its not the battery thats brand new what could be cause it to die like that.
Check the leads going to the battery, sometimes they are too dirty to offer a proper connection and you die again and again until you get them verbs.
if they doesn't work, get a tune up.

just looked-for to edit, I know you said you have a New Battery, sometimes it's the cable that connect to the battery that are dirty and need cleaning. Try it.
