My 1996 Olds bravada broke down a week ago, when it broke down it sounded like to run out of gas, but I just put gas contained by it that morning...It is not running, it won't start. Now I tested to see if the fuel pump was discouraging using a fuel pressure tester (car was bad but key be turned on) and it said that I had 48psi but later the weirdest thing happen...it started to slowly drop down...44, 43, 42, 41 all the route to 40 where it stayed. Why is this? What is wrong beside it?
that's moral for girls to work on cars , yea that's hot.
it seem resembling ur fuel pump is good rationale actually when u try to startthe saloon the pressure do drop couples . now if u try to start the sports car does it click or do u hearthe engine turning , if it's clicking then it's the starter, but check the batterie first .
consequently if it's turning then it's sparks problems, consent to someone try to start the car while u run the wires plugs off one by one if u see spark that tight ur getting spark , now if in that is 2 are not getting spark then it's a coil and if near is no spark on all later it's a sensor called (cranksensor). or any the controll module but i'll go beside the sensor first just to check .
murray's discount auto , pepboys, autozone, glendale, etc don't ever travel to the dealer approaching ford chevrolet chrysler etc if u tell me where on earth the car is i'll start it up for u . save far from 48336. thank's
When you turn your push button on, the fuel pump runs for 2 seconds to pressurize the lines past you start it. It will naturally bleed away pressure slowly.
You have need of to check pressure with the engine running.
Answers: You need to re-test your fuel pressure. It should travel to 51 psi when you turn on the key. If it does not, likelihood are you will be cranking for a while before it will start. I dream up the spec is close to 60 psi, but if you don't have at least possible 51 psi, it will not start and the pump needs to be replaced. The bleeding down is average. When you say you lately put gas in it that morning, be it empty when you get to the gas station? It is very adjectives that when you fill a cistern with cold gas lying on a pump that is hot from running low or close to senseless, it will kill the pump.
"Normal" With the engine not running the system builds up back pressure and holes at "Electric Pump Bypass Pressure". Did you check the coil and wires to and form the coil? Is this pressure up to that time or after the fuel pump on the engine? If you crank the engine over do you have spark at the plugs? Fuel at the injectors? Might want a New Fuel Filter? What are the conditions of the Battery and Alternator? If the Battery is 3 1/2 to 4 1/2 years old Replace it, If the Alternator doesn't show 12.8V to 13.6V at the Battery beside the engine running you may need to Replace it. What are the conditions of the Battery Cables and Cables and Wires at the starter & Starter Solenoid?
