My friend has a 1994 Toyota Corolla DX and has be having problems starting it. Some days it starts fine others it needs a hurdle start. When it doesn't start you can hear it click, but the engine won't crank. It will usually start almost immediately if given a jump start.

Batteries wear out over time, replace the battery with one beside a high CCA rating.
Also check the batteries electrolite level and the contact points/battery terminals besure the connections are clean and tight.
