Why won't 2005 VW GTI Engine start?

My car sit for a little over a week while I be away. When I came rear legs, it was buried contained by snow. I dug out the door, used the keyless entry to unlock it, turned on the power (but not the engine), had the radio on and turned on the reverse defroster. After awhile, the radio shut off lacking my noticing. When I finally shoveled plenty snow to move the car, I get in the sports car. I turned the key and I hear a click but the engine didnt start. The dash board lights come on and the interior lights were also on. I took the knob out and tried again with matching result. I did try pumping the gas (even though later I read that you should never do that.) I tried again and when I kept the push button turned, this time there be multiple clicks and the lights in the dashboard flickered. I also notice that every time I tried to start it, the clock reset. Did I drain the battery by have the radio and the rear defroster on for roughly an hour? Could it start after a night of waiting? Is it simply the battery?

Answers:    you kill your battery, running your trimmings without the engine running.

Diagnostic Test?

Your freestyle is flat. In the cold weather it is harder for a battery to recuperate. You will probably need to charge it or draw from a jump start and tolerate the engine run awhile to recharge the battery.
Sounds approaching it is just the battery-operated.
