Will JB Weld work on plastic?

I need to glue the plastic that holds the luggage on my motorcycle. Will this hold? Anything else that might work better?

JB weld works fine on plastic, if it has a rough surface, however if it's smooth and you want to truly bond the plastic you may look at a solvent-type glue that actually melt the plastic together.
