i have a 2005 toyota corolla with aftermarket pioneer headunit speakers sub and amp. i lately installed some fog lights and ran the ignition wire the radio ignition line all was fine until the guy who wash my car decided to verbs on some wires and the radio amp and foggies all went out. i re checked adjectives the wires and now the ignition wire is late im pretty sure its not a fuse because if i connect it to the 12 volt constant it all works fine. any help would be greatly appreciated.
First of adjectives, fog lights should NEVER be connected to the same wire as the stereo. 1. It is over powering the flex. 2. It will cause radio noise. Fog lights clutch enough power that they need to be on their own fuse from the mobile using relays from the switch. From the sound of your question, in that is a stock fuse blown (either under the dash or lower than the hood).
Since your car is an 05 Toyota, don't make too copious more mistakes like this, it will cost you lots of $$$$$$$$$$$$$$$
It is better to run a small power cable to a distribution box inside the car. That way you can connect frills like fog lights, radio, neons, ect.. to it, instead of to the fuse box.
Answers: its not your ignition chain it sounds like its your remote wire(constant power ) try connecting a wire from the battery-operated straight to the remote wire ( probably the yellow telecommunication on your stereo ) with the key on it shood turn on and when you turn the push button off it shood turn off your red one go to your ignition the yellow one to remote and black well ground flawless luck
