they are 1500w max with 50-500rms
the 10" alpine type-r is also 1500w max 50-500rms 85dB
they are both 4 ohm
whats the difference near the 10" and the 12" other than the size and the 85dB vs. 87dB?

The 12" will be louder than the 10", PERIOD (considering they are getting like amount of power and that they are in a manufacture-recommended box). Since the 12" have more surface area, it will move more nouns -making it louder.
That's it! No difference in frequency response, no difference within the 'punch' or 'rumble' of bass, only louder. That's it!
If space is an issue, receive the 10". If you can afford the space, the 12" will be a little louder.
