My neighbor gave me his old 12' subs and an amp, but he kept the box. I bought a box, but do I necessitate to seal the subs with the box? Or can I in recent times atach them with screws?
You did upright by buying a new box. you should make sure that its the size (cubic feet) that are needed for your subwoofers. Go the the manufactor's website and fashion sure that the box is right. (the box can make a HUGE difference if its not correct). Also you can just screw them surrounded by you dont need to seal them surrounded by if you do then they wont come out EVER. Unless you rip them out. Just use screws and check the manufactor's website formerly you do anything in case you own to take the box back
You can seal them if you want, don't expect much differance if the box isnt hermetically sealed, just use the screws.
