i am trying to hook up an amp to the component speakers and i am not 100% sure on how to do this can someone give some info on how to thanks.
what type of amp, director unit(stock or after market?),has the factory wires be hacked yet? are you hooking up 2 or 4? can you receive a Chilton's manual for your specific car? Don't start adjectives anything till you're sure of your wiring diagram for your car!! doomed to failure move.If factory stereo, can you get a RCA adapter? If not you'll need to rig up the wires to work, but may create problems down the road.

well it all depends on what description of amp you have.
if you have a two concentrate amp you will need to make sure it have a selectable crossover which means there should be somewhat swith on it somewhere that says hp, full, and lp
if your hooking up component speakers to it you would hook the left speakers to the moved out channel and the right speakers to the right channel, and you would stipulation to keep that switch on either hp or full. i am assuming they are going to be your front speakers if so you requirement to hook up the rca's to the front rcas on the back of the radio.
If you are using a 4 channel amp it hooks up indistinguishable way but you will only use the front depression of the amp and then you could use the rear passageway for something else like a sub or some rear speakers.
