i KNOW its hooked up 100% correct and nothing come loose, its not getting too hot cause when i turn the system stale and back on it starts right subsidise up, its usually at 15 when it shuts off, so my guess is that the amp can't knob the power im giving it, its a 4000watt lanzar vibe 286 bridgeable MOSFET 2channel amp, and i have the gain ALL the bearing up on it, so if i get a bigger amp would that fix the problem? but for in a minute is all i hold to do is lower the gain a lil'? its powering 2 AudioBahn AW1206T subs 1100watt rms each. and i hold a power acoustix 20 farad cap.
Your right the amp is going into protect because the subs are drawing to much power from the amplifier. If you are running the amps contained by bridged mode the amplifier might be running at a lower ohm than specified. Try and set the subs at 1 per channel (1 vanished and 1 right). If you get a bigger amp wattage sage, yes it should fix the problem if. The rule of thumb is to match RMS output on an Amplifier to the RMS power on the subs.
The amp is shutting down to protect itself.
You do not describe how you have it set up, so I will guess.
Try unbridging it, using one rut for each sub.
I am betting that you own it bridged, with the subs surrounded by parallel, and the impedance is dropping too low, so that when you turn it up, the amp is getting into a region where it is set to protect itself.
Answers: Try turning your gain down and see if that helps
usually 3/4 up is more than large enough on an amp!
I read out you try and have your gain between 1/2 way & 3/4 no more than that !
Hope this help you!
