Are within any harddrive MP3 players for cars?

If absolutely forced to, I will closing up buying a 160gb iPod and some sort of mount for it. That is not the question, so please don't answer if an iPod or other portable mp3 player is your simply solution.

I'm looking for a 100gb-ish capacity strong drive based MP3 player for my saloon, to simply replace my stereo altogether. I found one, the dh-100ix, which was mysteriously discontinued exceptionally quickly, and cannot find a single other one that meet my criteria:

100gb internal harddrive
A good method of browsing through MP3s

I wouldn't think this be that hard to find, but extensive googling have found absolutely zilch. Maybe I'm looking in the wrong places.

Does such a article exist? If so, is there some special permanent status I need to explore for? I've only ever see reference to one player, from 2005, that met my criteria at adjectives. The rest is people rigging up laptops to do this, even though it's clearly not a outstandingly difficult thing to develop.

Answers:    There is the AVIC-Z2 which does enjoy a built in 20Gb HDD, 10GB however, is taken up beside maps for the nav. There is also a few Alpines on the marketplace (Usually upwards of $400) which have USB ports, some enjoy an 8GB limit, but I beleive the newer models own a much higher restrict, but you would want to check out the alpine website and look at their media deck. The down side is that many of these deck don't incorporate CD or DVD players, so you are stuck next to only digital medium.

The only issue I can see near using this deck, assuming it has a virtually "unlimited" HDD read experience would be suppling more than the available power to power the HDD, because the power provided is supposed to be used only for solid state memory. It probably wont own enough power to spin-up a drive, so you'd enjoy to modify a usb hub and use the voltage regulator to supply a little more power to the HDD, but excluding that, it MIGHT work.

Best of Luck.
