back when i first get into car audio i honestly didnt know much. in a minute its a few years later and tho i know more i still dont know everything. one of my first systems i have a audiocontrol overdriver and at least from what i remeber it really pumped up the bass. so i guess im lately asking what does it do? does it help as much as i remeber or have it balloned into a fish tale contained by my head? gratefulness!

I believe what you are talking something like is a BASS Boosting piece of equipment. The OVERDRIVE and EPICENTER from AUDIO CONTROL have be used for years like you said. If you similar to to enhance the bass and play lower bass notes those be and are the pieces of equipment that you'd want.
