Somehow i always appear to blow one of my 6.5 in door speakers contained by my truck... i have have audiobahn....pioneer...and polk.....the last set i bought be polk and they were $160 a set of two...so its not like im buying the cheapest speakers....i other seem to a short time ago blow one speaker so i end up replacing adjectives four a switching to a different brand each time......i hold a new alpine principal unit and i hang on to the bass level and bass set on low next to it....and i never turn the volume up all the approach..so y do i keep blowing a speaker....? also what brand would u suggest since im going to be purchasing four untried speakers....?....i also have 2 10inch subs near its own amp in the put a bet on..but i doubt that has anything to do beside it...TIPS/ADVICE??
Answers: Sounds like it could hold been a power surge to your speaks. It can arise if you leave your deck on when you turn the vehicle off, and consequently start the car up. If you can, nick a look at the connection between the speaker and the wires and see if you fried that too.
,Or it could be a fried voice-coil. Door speakers are adjectives to moisture, since water can grasp inside the door through the window stamp. your voice coil might have simply gotten corroded, rubbed against the magnet, and shorted out. The only opening to tell is to give somebody a lift the speaker out of the door and inspect it. Push straight down on the main cone. If it make a rubbing or a scratching nouns then your voice coil is fried. But if one or more of the tweeters is fried it's harder to recount.
I suggest 4way Infinity speakers with tweeters nearby good for the money and reliable! THE MAIN entity to remember to do when you or someone else installs the speakers make sure to other use a foam enclosure to protect them from moisture. I've see lots of rusty speaker baskets and magnets come out of the doors of nice cars.
