You need to have a ported box. (Box next to 3 inch holes in the rear , front or side.) Also I own been happy next to JL audio, Kenwood, and Pioneer.

Focal. not a better speaker made. this is reality. look at all reviews and go listen near your own ears. nothing comes close to being as verbs as they are. they cost a bit more but worth EVERY penny! when you buy CRAP like alpine,sony,kicker,mb, and tons of others... you are just buying a popular mark.
Answers: Go see a specialist, you can increase bass reproduction by more than one method, simply replacing your standard speakers will improve little if they are fitted incorrectly, bass requires apt solid foundations, good quality speakers and usually more powerful amps.
Subs are a pious cheap way of getting bass without spending hundreds on hot and expensive speakers, and set up properly will enhance your sound rather than take home it just loud and boomy.
set your budget then speak to a worthy reputable dealer, be wary of ones that expect you to wage for "the all singing all dance ones", in my experience a good set of lb100 speakers fitted in good health will suffice any listner, expect to pay around 50-70 pounds to have them properly fitted, and an extra lb30 for a short time sound deadning mat, this will definately help smooth out the nouns and get the best from your speakers.

I had like peas in a pod problem and went to halfords to get mine checked out. The guy told me that to receive a good quality bass nouns, you have to get the big subwoofer boxes to put within the boot, and spend over lb100, you'll also need an amplifier to allow the speakers to cope with the increased power, and you may have need of a new stereo unit itself to feel the increased wattage.
