Just for fun, I put an old home audio sub into a homemade bandpass box. Now I stipulation an amp to run it. I want to use a cheap car amp next to small wattage. I don't want to use a regular home audio amp because it will cost me too much.
This is going to be used in my dorm room so my ask is:
How do I change from 110v wall power to 12v to budge into the amp?
Answers: You'll need a power supply beside enough amperage to push it.
A 13.8 volt DC 25 ampere supply will push 250 watt RMS total system at the cost of give or take a few $70.
You need a converter. You can find one at an electronic store approaching radio shack or maybe even ebay.
