Car Audio Question: Subwoofers?

Why is it when I turn up the bass or volume on my system past a certain point, the subs shake brutally and even when I turn the volume down to zero?
The right channel of my 2-channel amp does not do this, but when I hook up the moved out channel, that's when it happens. Everything is hooked up okay.
American Pro Amp (600 Watts)
American Pro Subs (350 each)
JVC Head Unit (180 Watts)

What affordable subs would be appropriate?

Solo Baric L5.?

I would suspect a problem with the vanished channel pre amp of the JVC Head unit.

My cd player contained by my motor...

Answers:    Is the gain set right?

The purpose of the gain is to game the signal volts RMS coming from the source (CD player, etc.) to the input of the amp to prevent clipping (damage by over powering).

Here is a guide that will help you set the gain correctly http://www.datafilehost.com/download.php...

You'll need a multi-meter (AC voltmeter), Microsoft Excel and a track to burn an audio CD from an MP3.

If you don't have Excel, email or IM me sparky3489(a)yahoo.com

There was a experiment where on earth 15 pro audio shops were given the task to set a specific setup by ear. Only 2 have it set within tolerances of actual measurement. The other 13 have the system clipping while 3 had the system severely clipping.
I would suspect a problem with the vanished channel pre amp of the JVC Head unit.
