Car Audio Tools?

Where can I get something to weigh the wattage that my amplifier is outputting and the voltage that my car/alternator/battery is outputting?

Protectoin for subs at circuitcity?

Answers:    The easiest way would be to connect a virtuous quality ammeter into the mobile lead and calculate the current consumption of the amp (power and run the amp at high volume). The reading you get hold of is in amps. If you multiply this number by the mobile voltage (12 volts) you will get the wattage drawn by the amp.
You will not know how to measure the alternator amperage contained by this way because the alternator give varying output depending on the state of charge of the battery (from 0 amps to a maximum 120 amps depending on your alternator).
I would suggest you start the coup¨¦ and then connect the ammeter into the freestyle lead. Make sure you do not run the coup¨¦ with the battery-operated lead disconnected. You must connect one line from the ammeter to the battery terminal and the other line from the ammeter to the battery head before you separate the freestyle connection, so as adjectives the current goes through the ammeter.
You can immediately turn up the volume on your amp and by reving the engine you will see if the car's alternator will keep stride with the amp.
Be thoroughly careful. You could motivation damage by shorting wires or running the alternator on unfold circuit if a wire fell bad.

Whats the best sub you can win...

A meter, there are lots of different types. if you really want to read that stuff, acquire an oscilloscope.
