i had my system going today 1000 rms amp and 2 p3 subs i be looking at the hood and smoke was coming out i popped the hood and saw where on earth the place where the flex touches the battery be all melt i immediately turned the system sour and its stayed off ? what is wrong beside it and how can i fix it? thanks
Answers: sounds close to you are drawing too many amps for the rating of the cable you used. the cable presently has to be replaced, so replace it beside thicker gauge cable.
why did it thaw? is there a short ircuit? check for this. are here too many bits and pieces on that circuit? add up the current draw of adjectives things on that circuit and then check for a suitable cable.
