Answers:    Ok, let's start by using a test bedside light or multi meter if you have one. What I would do first is be in motion to the fuse box. Again, double check it. Double check the fuses on the CD Players electrics harness. Then I would check the factory wiring coming out of the electric wiring harness (make sure the radio is NOT connected). First check the yellow constant line. If it lights up you there's no problem there. Second check the switched power flex. Use the test bedside light, the light should be bad until you switch the key to the supplement position on your vehicle. If it does then no problems nearby. If that's the case that both the constant and switched power are accurate, it might just be that the ground lead is bad. Try and connect the black rope to a bolt that is connected to the frame of the vehicle. If your radio works consequently your good to run. Make sure the Antenna is plugged in. Some disc players will not work without the antenna individual plugged in.

I hope this help you out.

Which sub is better?

Get yourself some sort of tester. (12v test insubstantial, multi-meter) It sounds to me like your 12v switched power to the radio isn't person supplied.
