I was thinking nearly hooking up a spare set of walmart Pioneer subs to an old stereo addressee. The receiver does not own an LPF and the subs would be hooked up to its only two channel that output fullrange music. I do not want to damage the subs by giving them frequencies out of their collection, unless subs have a built surrounded by LPF circuit to prevent this damage. Any suggestion?
Answers: The subs won't care what you bequeath to them. They will play any input you give to them and it won't defacement the sub. As long as you don't overpower the sub or exceed it's thermal limits later you will be fine. The only entity is that you will hear the other sounds and not just the bass. You can also buy filter at a local car audio shop.
Walmart market inline low pass filter coils. Or capture a amp with the lpf settings. Get a amp for those subs...the radio itself won't push them! Good luck!
