What is the difference between dual and single voice subwoofers how do they work and what are the advantages do they hit a wider frequency range
there are two separate coils that drive the sub. each one have its own separate terminals. there are two advantages of have dvc's impendance matching meaning that if your amp is 2 ohm stable and your sub have dual 4ohm vc"s then you can hook your vc's in parallel to obtain two ohms to match your amp. the second advantage is if you enjoy a 2 channel amp you can hook the left furrow to one vc and the right channel to the other but i wont sound as accurate.
Answers: They get wired slightly different.
This can give an account you how they work.

There is no difference in sound between a DVC and SVC sub given duplicate amount of power. The reason for having a DVC sub is for convenience of electrical system. With a DVC sub you have more options when electrics the sub up to the amp.You should find out what amp you want and then decide between a DVC or SVC sub after.
