Help beside a speaker box.?

Hi, I have a speaker box that I want to formulate. I can't figure it out the dia. PLEASE PLEASE HELP!! I want a triangle prism type box. The speaker is an 8 inch speaker. So the altitude needs to be at least possible 9 inches. The Volume the speaker needs is .5 cubic foot. Please Please help....thank you!!

Do you plan to enjoy the woofer on a triangle end of this prism? If so, you requirement it to be big enough to mount the speaker.

Here is how. Draw a substantial square, starting at around 16". Divide the square from one corner to the diagonal corner so there are two triangles. See if the woofer (face down) will fit completely in one of the triangles. If not, expand the square until it fits or reduce the size as expected.

Once it fits okay (this represents the face of the prism), divide 1728 by all along a side wall (like 16).

1728 / 16 = 108

Divide this again by the side length (16).

108 / 16 = 6.75

This example means the box is 16 x 16 x 6.75 inches. This is one cubic foot. Slicing this box diagonally (a prism) will be 0.5 cubic foot.
