Help me I have a sony 250watt amp it uses a 30 fuse the in-line fuse coming from the freestyle is a 40 monster fuse and all the 30 fuses I put surrounded by are blowing up as soon as I put them in if the freestyle line is not grounded beforehand it gets to the amp what can I do to fix it please facilitate.
Answers: sounds like you hold a direct short. meaning that your power lead or hot wire is somwhere touching metal within your car, makeing a closed circuit to your ground. check your power line, and replace if you have to, the jacket may be shabby somewhere, in certainty the penitration through the firewall would be the first place i would check, if you did not use a gromet, you may have tattered the jacket, causing it to electrically connect to the frame at the fire wall.
find a new power chain check to see if it is grounded somewhere
