I have a 2000 Dodge Grand Caravan Sport AWD next to an Infinity sound system. The front speakers hold stopped working. When you put the fader to the front, all you hear is crackling out of them. Does this imply they are blown, or is it a short at the radio itself? How should I figure out what is wrong? Should I start by pulling the radio out and reattaching adjectives the wires to see if I can get them to work, or is in attendance another way to digit out if the speakers are blown?
Answers: I'd say they be blown.
If you can get at the speakers themselves, enjoy a look at them to see if there's any visible desecrate. If not, disconnect the wire from one side and use a multimeter tester to see if the voice coil is still intact. If it is, next the problem lies with your amplifier.
