Yeah, 1" ports are going to be too small.

For an enclosure that small it is going to be really hard to add a port. It is going to be totally long and will probably not be a logical idea for your application. You will be better off have another enclosure made for your sub.

A port is carefully planned out and designed around your sub. It is not simply a "hole". You own to make sure it is tuned correctly or your sub will sound impossible and you could even damage your sub.

Good Luck!

Answers:    Ported enclosures are designed around the subs T/S parameter of the sub . You can't take a sealed pen and port it. Ported enclosures are usually larger than sealed.

Even if you put together a new box, 1" ports are way too small. You will hold horrid port noise. Ports need to be at smallest 3" in diameter.

Recommended enclosure specs:

Vented stall (cu. ft.): 1.00

Port diameter (inside, in.): 3.00
Equivalent square port (in.): 2.65x2.65

Port length (in.): 6.50
