How much power should my amp enjoy?

I have two (2) brand new Alpine Type-R 10" SWR-1022D subs that I am looking to put onto one (1) amp to power them both. However I do not know how much power or what exactly to look for when buying the amp. Each sub have an RMS of 200-500watts and a max of 1500watts. they are 2ohm and dual voice coil. If possible, I would like to know which amps would be the best match-up without breaking the hill or blowing the speakers. thanks

2 Kicker 10" 4ohms sub and Kicker...

Speakers/tweeters beside the sharpest/clearest nouns??

I would go next to the Alpine MRP-M1000. This is a cost effective way of putting 1000 watts to a 2 ohm nouns. So, with that being said, I would line each sub up as a 4 ohm load, later when you bridge at the terminal cup or at the amplifier, it will be a 2 ohm load.

You can go next to a different amp too, but the MRP-M1000 retails for $425 I think... somewhere around there.
Not a fruitless price for 1000 watts RMS.

RMS Power (at 14.4V, 20-200Hz)
Per channel into 4 ohms: 600W x 1
Per channel into 2 ohms: 1000W x 1

I own a pioneer cd mp3 radio...

Answers:    Well type R's can handle alot more consequently 500 watts RMS (im putting 750watts into mine)

But if u wanna stick to specs
Alpine PDX 1000.1
Kicker ZX1000.1

are a couple good ones
