I was wiring up my 4 focus amplifier...I got the power wire, remote flex, ground wire, RCA Input Wires, and 2 of the 4 speakers connected with no problem..BUT!...I messed around and permit some other loose wires touch the amp...POOF!..blew out the damn amp..this 4 channel amp has 2 20AMP fuses.I pulled them out and notice that both fuses were blown, so I dissconnected all of the wires, and put 2 different 20AMP fuses in..I attempted to reconnect the wires..as soon as I got to the ground chain, the 2 new fuses went "POOF!"..I give up after a 3rd try with 2 more fuses...did I destroy the amp?
No, you just have something connected wrong. Check adjectives of your connections to see if your wire is touching anything.
One other thing I may suggest is to check the positive and unenthusiastic wires on the amp and make sure you don't have them switched around. I know it sounds dumb but I own seen this happen more next a few times so I think it is worth a mention.
you didnt verbs the amp you just fried some wires.
if it is an expensive one take it within to your nearest music store to have them check it out because this may be progressively getting worse while it may be fixable at the moment.
try getting some more durable wires also. this may help
apposite luck!

Answers: DESTROYED...NO. BECAUSE IT IS FIXABLE. MOST CAR STEREO PLACES WONT FIX, THO, BECAUSE THEY DONT WANT TO HAVE TO DEAL WITH THE "HE SAID, SHE SAID" IF SOMETHING ELSE GOES WRONG.
THE BEST THING TO DO IS SEE IF IT IS COVERED UNDER WARRANTY AND SEND IT BACK... IF IT'S NOT, I WOULD SCRAP IT BECAUSE EVEN IF YOU DO HAPPEN TO GET IT FIXED, IT WILL HAPPEN AGAIN IF YOU PUSH IT TOO HARD...
