i have 8 rate power wire and ground telecommunication in a 750w rms amp...but i played it for in the order of an hour today and the wires arent even warm, so do i still want to put it back up to 4 compute?
Answers: Just because it's not getting warm doesn't mingy you're not starving the amp for power.
You can seize a 4 AWG wiring gear for $35 or less. Why risk it.
750watt on a 12v system (750/12=62.5amp) a 4ga. would lessen the voltage drop to the amp but you should be ok(safety wise) near 8ga. Since this is low voltage have you tried weld cable(many fine wires inside)It has a sophisticated ampacity than a solid wire(less voltage drop per foot)
