i have a 88 caprice so like mad of room, dont want to speed ALOT of $ considering im not rich like bill gate's or anything, but im proclivity towards 3 or 4 12" and a pretty big amp to supply power to them. any help will be fitting.

If you get simply one of those it will save alot of space and still produce a ton of boom. If he resembling to really turn it up maybe go and get two just to be sheltered. you can never underpower a sub, so running say 600 watts to a sub that can hold 1000 is clearly o.k. Keep in mind that 1000Watts RMS is adjectives that car will expected be able to bar, with a big three lead upgrade, maybe you could squeek out a couple hundred more, but more than that and you call for a high output alternator which will cost several hundred. Added a capacitor or a second battery-operated will do no help as others on hear i am sure are going to recommend, the reality is they do not add power to the system they individual stiffen whats there, which is a development provided your system has passable power to begin near. power to the sytem is done by the alternator and the alternator alone. a battery is simply used when the car is not running. so tally a second one only give the alternator one more to chrarge. therefor taking power away not adding up it.

Me personally I enjoy 2 kicker cvr 12's in my Ford Escape right in a minute hooked to a small 600 rms hifonics 2 channel amp and they pound. I've hooked up another customer I enjoy with 2 cvr 12's and a 450 rms 2 direct amp in a Ford escort and they outright pound close to no other. I find that the crunch/hifonics line-up are extremely nice for the price point. The bass they put out are totally different than my 800 watt 2 channel kenwood I hold. If you get 4 subs and they are adjectives dual 2ohm voice coil you can run a 1ohm load to the amp and slickly get a hifonics mono class d amp for around $250 online next to 1600 watts of rms power. Or get 4 dvc near 4 ohm coils and run them to present a 2 ohm load at the amp. Say you acquire 4 kicker cvr 12's your total rms would be right at 1600 watts of rms power so the amp and subs combo is perfect. You can grasp those subs on-line for about 150 for a set of two shipped to you. The only problem you may run into is wanting to dynamat your vehicle from all of the bass!
