Installing Akai acr-3400?

Hi, I was given a Akai ACR-3400 cd player without instructions,
electrics up the speakers ok also the earth..now the cross-question.
Yellow wire with fuse..and Red +12 volts Switched lead.I have tried each on in attendance own..connected to the live wire to the cig lighter... Where do each of them stir..I have a 1986 Celica.

Answers: Sounds like you chopped the factory harness, but thats okay. If you didnt but, buy a metra 70-1761 toyota harness and connect color to color. Since you probably cut all the wiring similar to a dummy, Yellow wire goes to any the battery (fused) or to the white or black with red striped telecommunication at the ignition harness. The red (switched, or accesory wire) goes to the black with a sickly striped wire, also at the ignition harness. Dont connect it to the cig lighter, unless you're 100% ghetto and have no hypothesis what youre doing.
