JL Audio Subwoofers?

i just get 2 12inch W3V2's installed in my 99 noble am with a 1200 watt pioneer amp and a custom ported box. the box is pretty big, it fill up my whole trunk and i hear thats what u want cuz u get better bass. anyways, when i first get it, it sounded great. now it started snowin and in attendance is a lot of rime build up on my trunk lid. it sounds like junk in the motor because my seats fold down and the bass is not as clear. does anyone know why this is?

also, i considered necessary to try a sealed box. does anyone recommend these. i want really verbs bass. i dont care going on for how loud it is, i just want honourable sound feature (thats why i bought JL's)

What color line does the acc lead...

Sealed boxes surely offer better SQ than ported ones.

Check JL's site for hermetic box volumes recommended for the 12W3V2's. Build one (or have one built) in 10% of the internal volume that JL recommends.

BTW, /////Alpine doesn't know what he's conversation about. He's individual answering questions to capture points, he's not trying to help anyone but himself.

Good Luck!

Would a twosome of 12" infinity dvc...

Well I have a hermetic box, it sounds good, but that's what I close to.

For you though, i'd stick with the ported. I instinctively think it's better point in a ported, and if that's why you bought JL's, stick near the port.
You may want to get rid of the rime build up.
That might make a crunching nouns and like you said nouns like litter.

Will a hifonics brutus 1606D work beside...

Answers:    i'm going to answer this one thing at a time.

you should never buy a box merely cause it feel your trunk to "give you better bass". thats a bunch of crap. you should other buy your box based on what you woofer call for. what does that mean? every woofer have its own recomendation of box size. usual they give you 2 differnt sizes. one is for a ported box, one is for a hermetically sealed box. stick with the woofers recomendations and you'll achieve the best sound from the speaker.

the use why it might sound differnt might not own anything to do with rime. my guess is its sounds differnt cause of warmth. cold air is deeply more dense then heat air. which will effect nouns. also the woofer itself gets seriously colder. making everything stiffer. my guess is what your hearing is the effect of both these things adjectives.

as far as a sealed box go, i think thats a excellent opinion for you. ported boxs are more for SPL, then SQ. you want SQ. hermetic will give you that cavernous, tight bass. ported boxs tend to be sloppy.

sealed is the route to go. JL recomends anywhere from 1.0 to 1.5 cubic foot. i personally would shoot right within the middle and have a box made thats 1.25 cubic foot. i would also have a perfesional generate it for me. tell him you want a hermetic box thats 1.25 cubic feet, for a 12" woofer.

righteous luck
